Imperial Meeting 2014
For the second year in succession the Imperial 2014 was blessed with warm, sunny and dry weather, with of course the tricky winds associated with summer conditions.
This year we fielded a record breaking eight members thanks to two new arrivals at WPRC. We welcomed John Cade who is no stranger to the Imperial and Phil Taylor who was renewing his acquaintance with the meeting after a break of some thirty years!
Match Rifle
Our sole MR representative Dick Hayden shot a full series of events this year, following a welcome return to ocular health. As always competition was fierce but he was delighted to record a 3rd place in the Any Rifle with a 71.6 at 1100 yards. Welcome back Dick!
Target Rifle
The remaining seven club members joined the fray on First Friday for the TR events.
Team shooting

Shooting against the strongest competition, results were as follows:
Belgian 18th ex 29 with a score of 664.56
Steward 16th ex 24 with a score of 678.73
Individual shooting
Phil Taylor, John Cade, Alistair Bullen and Colin Skellett were all able to shoot through to Second Thursday, while Nick, Bob and Ashley departed early after the Middle Weekend. Colin upheld the clubs honour by being our only representative in Queens II
