Interclub Triangular Match with HRA/RAF TRC – Sunday 12th April 2026

This fixture was first held in August 2025 over a course of fire for teams of 6 at 300 and 900 yards. The RAF had a victory over WPRC with a margin of 14 points. It was decided then to repeat the match in Spring 2026.

On 12th April 2026 the match was extended to also attract a team from HRA, and this year using an Empire Match format of 2 & 10 at 300, 600, 900, and 1000 yards, we set out in fine weather but faced with challenging winds from the outset.

Having just completed the 900 yard detail the rain worsened, and with a driving wind, all agreed reluctantly to abandon the 1000 yard shoot and head for the shelter of the RAF Clubhouse for the results.

A win for HRA with a tally of 707.71 , placed WPRC in 2nd place with 697.59 , and the RAF hosts in 3rd with 681.45

Top Gun for Welwyn Phoenix was captain Alistair Bullen returning a fine 144.14 ex 150
