Trophies

WPRC run two types of trophy competition:

a)

    Those taking place throughout the season and shot concurrently at Club shoots.

b)

    Competitions organised to be shot at the End of Season shoot usually in mid-October.

The format is a mix of non-handicapped and handicapped competitions to give members of differing ability the opportunity of shooting against others on a ‘level playing field’.

a) Concurrent Trophy Competitions

7.62 Trophy

Non-handicapped. Un-nominated. The elected 12 best scores of the season shot at short range, 300, 500 and 600 yards.

 

Morrison Salver

Non-handicapped. Un-nominated. The elected 4 best scores of the season, shot at long range, 900 and 1000 yards

 

Crossley Cup

Non-handicapped. 8 nominated short-range shoots. Shot concurrently with the Donegal Trophy.

 

Donegal Trophy

Handicapped. 8 nominated short-range shoots. Shot concurrently with the Crossley Cup.

 

Ross Hayden Memorial Spoon

Handicapped. The elected 6 best scores of the season shot at 300 yards

b) End of Season Shoot Trophies

Pemberton Cup

Handicapped. Best 300 and 900 yard aggregate scores.

 

Rosebowl

Handicapped. Best 600 yard score.

 

Holland Shield

Non- handicapped. Best overall aggregate of all the days competitions.

 

EOS Tankard

Handicapped. Best overall aggregate of all the days competitions.
